Current Kit

The cameras, lenses, audio, and carrying gear we use most often.

    • DJI Action camera (Routes POV)

    • iPhone (quick captures + scouting)

    • Sony A6700

    • Sigma 18–50mm f/2.8 → 80% of the time

    • Sigma 16mm f/1.4 → sunrise / landscapes / vibe wides

    • Sony E 70–350mm f/4.5–6.3 G OSS → mountain moments + compression

    • On-camera natural sound (wind, tires, engine)

    • Ambience layers (rain, room tone, fire) when needed

    • Premiere Pro

    • Adobe After effects

    • Color: keep it warm, grounded, return-coded

Mounts We Trust

The rigs and mounts that make movement shots stable enough to disappear.

Our go-to POV angles:

  • Handlebar / front mount (classic POV)

  • Chest mount (most immersive)

  • Helmet mount (best for turns + speed)

Rule: stable horizon > everything.

Settings We Return To

The camera settings we use most often across Postcards, Routes, and Refuges.

A cozy kitchen scene during the day with sunlight coming through a window. On a wooden table, there are jars of honey, a mug with a moon design, a slice of bread with jam, an open book, a knife, and some dishes with bread and jam. The background shows a kitchen sink beneath the window, with curtains and some potted plants.

Routes (POV)

  • Stabilization on

  • Lock exposure when possible

  • Shoot longer than you think you need

Postcards

  • Wide establishing shots + tight detail shots

  • Let scenes breathe (hold shots longer)

Refuges

  • Record 30–90 minutes of uninterrupted atmosphere

  • Natural sound is the point
